He is the father of three children alongside his wife Helene Helgesen (married 2011). Together with his brother, Bård Ylvisåker, they form the comedy duo Ylvis, active since 2000. Their comedy style is strongly infused with Norwegian brothers Bård Ylvisåker and Vegard Ylvisåker, known together as the comedy duo Ylvis, released the music video for their now mega hit The Fox (What Does The Fox Say?) in September 2013.
